Wesley Anderegg
Wesley Anderegg’s clay figures are simultaneously hilarious and frightening; the population of a world playing out the imaginary narrative he has created for them. Anderegg’s work is driven by a lifetime of observation, and it acts as a commentary on issues such as pollution, environmental concerns, and the role of government in our everyday lives.
Anderegg received a Bachelor of Science in Geography from Arizona State University, Tempe, Arizona, before dedicating himself full-time to an art career. His work is included in the Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington, DC. The Archie Bray Foundation in Helena, Montana, the Frederick R. Weisman Museum in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the Museum of Arts and Sciences in Macon, Georgia, and the Ross E. Purdy Museum of Ceramics in Westerville, Ohio.
